Continue to discuss the theme, clarify the theme of the studio and the concept of departure, and set the style
Determining Theme: Display Objects to Fantasy Objects
Expression method: the combination of 2D and 3D, we will have two scenes, virtual and real scenes, the real scene mainly uses 3D to make the background, and 2D to make small animations; the virtual scene mainly uses 2D to make the background, and 3D to make character animations.
Target time: about 2 minutes
Cooperation method: first design the preliminary design together, and then make the 2D and 3D scenes respectively after deciding on the scene, and then exchange each other to make animation
Theme Pure Sand Sculpture Funny: Studio Sculpture
To make a virtual studio, the main theme is that the paintings in the real studio will be uploaded to the virtual world by the sculptures without authorization and then evaluated. The preferences are expressed through body language and small bubbles. The purpose is to show the preferences of different artists on the style of painting, express There is not only one kind of good painting style, art is diverse.
Rough plot: The paintings of middle school students in the real studio are scanned into the virtual world without authorization and scored by different sculptures

Week 1: Unit Introduction

LTB face-to-face meeting, theme selected, team members confirmed

In the first week of the cooperation unit, we listened to the teacher’s requirements for cooperative assignments with students majoring in games, animation, vr, and visual effects, and played a small game in canteen to help us meet students from other majors and communicate.

Small Task on game

Cooperation project time cut-off table
We looked at topics of interest on the ped let and shared our thoughts and contact details under topics of interest to us

Team members determine:

Animation: Fangyuan Shao
Other: Kiki
Project idea: Design a 2D studio effect for “Metaverse”, “Sense of Belonging”, and “Fantasy Community”. Avoid cumbersome, distracting guests. The main purpose is to set off the plaster and create an atelier atmosphere.
Reference:
In order to highlight the ‘fantasy’ and ‘virtual’, I plan to try a bolder contrasting color that is different from real life. Also consider pulling away from the 3D plaster, so try to plan as much as possible.

Week 7: Group Discussion

This week our group discussed the progress of the paper. In the blog, I plan to sort out some precautions for English papers

Harvard reference format to be used in the article

Referring to Literature

Oneimportantcharacteristic ofacademic writina is that al the sources of information that the writerhasusedneedto beindicated.notust as a biblioaraphv or list of references. but also in oralongsidethetextIn some cases the source will be the main subject of the sentence in others the sources maybementioned parenthetically (in brackets) or via a notation

system(eg.footnotes)The more common verbs and verb phrases used in academic writing for referringtosources are given below.Note that different referencing systems are used in differentdisciplinesntheexamples.the Harvard in-text referencina svstem has been used Also note that the “author as subject” style is less common in the sciences

“ldeally, your review should be evaluative and critical of the studies which have a particular bearingonyourown.Forexampleyou may think a particular study did not investigate some necessary aspect ofthe area, or that the authors failed to notice some problem with their results.”

Being Critical

Asanacademic writeryou are expected to be critical of the sources that you use. This essentiallymeansquestioning what you read and not necessarily agreeing with it just because the information has been published. Being critical can also mean looking for

reasonswhyweshould notjustacceptsomething as being correct or true. This can require ou to identify problems with a writer’s arguments or methods. or perhaps to refer to other people’s criticisms ofthese. Constructive criticism goes beyond this by suggesting ways in which a piece of research or writing could be improved.

..being against is not enough. We also need to develop habits of constructive thinking Edward de Bono

Describing Methods

nthe Methodssectionofa dissertation orresearch article. writers aive an account of how they carried out their research. The Materials and Methods section should be clear and

detailed enough for another experienced person to repeat the research and reproduce the results. Typical features with examples of this language are listed below.
